Find a New Labor of Love in February with CreativeBug

We know we have a lot of crafters in our community. We also have a lot of aspiring crafters and we're glad to see how creative you all are. 

If you can't make it to one of our monthly craft programs, or even if you can, don't forget the Chelmsford Public Library has crafting instruction available anytime with CreativeBug! Here are some of the latest crafting experiments coming up in February.

Embroidered Sampler Passport Book: A Daily Practice

Join Rebecca Rindquist of Dropcloth Embroidery for this instructive series covering twelve essential embroidery stitches. Once you have completed your stitches, you'll learn to build your own clothbound reference book to use for future projects.  

Make a Tinted Lip Balm

Make you own all-natural lip balm with Arina Soler from BellaCreme. You'll learn to work with beeswax and combine it with essential oils to soothe your chapped lips, and learn to add optional tints. Once you get through the process and get the "bug," you'll want to make them for your friends!

How to Fold an Origami Heart

Courtney Cerruti is editor-in-chief of CreativeBug. She'll help you share the love with an easy origami heart, a great window into the craft. It' makes an ideal starter project for folks who are new to origami, and you can give your loved ones a heart in February or anytime.

 

Premiering February 26: 

Knit a Bow Scarf

Learn to knit this adorable accessory with CreativeBug contributing editor Faith Hale. It's a simple and highly adaptable design you can dress up or down, as well as size up or down for nearly any size yarn!
