Celebrate National Craft Month in a Big Way with Creativebug

March 4, 2025 Art, Resources T. Bowser

Learn new crafts of all styles and all levels with Creativebug! This seemingly endless library of online arts and crafts instruction has brand new programs every month that you can access any time. March is National Craft Month, and there's more than enough to keep you busy with these new classes premiering every week.

Available Now: Collage Homage: 15 Women Artists to Know

A bonus for Women's History Month! Join Erin McCluskey Wheeler for a series of presentations on collage taught through the lenses of fifteen vital women collage artists, from the 18th-century innovations of Mary Delany to living legends Lorna Simpson and Betye Saar, each presented in short-form chapters you can attend at your own pace.

Premiering March 5: Design & Crochet a Top-Down Bobble Sweater with Twinkie Chan

"Food scarf" pioneer Twinkie Chan will show you how to design and crochet a top-down sweater with fun bobble sleeves. Twinkie will help you design and plan your sweater without the use of a template, using an easy pattern to maximize the fun.

Premiering March 12: Digital Portrait Painting in Procreate with David Tenorio

We try not promote a lot of software (or anything else you need to buy) here, but Procreate is a worthwhile exception - an inexpensive art studio app for painting, illustrating, and design  for mobile device and touchscreen users. David Tenorio will walk you through all stages of creative work with the tool, and how to make portraits worthy of the gallery wall.

Premiering March 19: CB Mixtape: 8 Collage Techniques

CreativeBug Mixtapes are playlists comprised of different classes and a variety of techniques, all gathered around a single theme. There are so many possibilities with collage and we are here for it!

Premiering March 26: Visible Mending with Arounna Khounnoraj

Make your garments live forever and "let a thousand seams bloom." Arounna Khounnoraj of Bookhou will show you mending techniques you will want to show off on your well-loved clothes.

As always, once the classes have premiered, they are available anytime. Visit CreativeBug through our website to explore and find your own crafting journey.
