Is bedtime the best time to read?

Bedtime is a traditional time of day to share stories with children.  In many homes it is part of a ritual that soothes and relaxes a child.  Some children go to sleep quickly, some are cranky at that time of day and some get worked up after hearing stories.  Maybe another time is better.

How about when your child wakes up in the morning or after a nap?  Those may be better times for snuggling together while reading a book or two or three.  Be creative and try out different times to find the best time for you and your child.  Something that worked with one child may not work for another.  Make it a time when you are both relaxed.  Sit together, and enjoy the experience.

Tell us your favorite time of day for reading.
