Baby Storytime on Friday, July 31
We read a beloved classic at baby storytime this morning: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? We also discussed how families can enjoy a book like this without reading the actual text. Instead, you can simply look at the illustrations and talk about the different colors you see, or use the animal pictures as inspiration for a song like “Old MacDonald Had a Farm.” There are so many ways to share books with your child!

Sing With Your Child!
Look What’s Growing at MacKay!
Exciting things are happening in the garden at the MacKay Library! Cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, kale, and basil were all ripe and ready for sampling at today’s storytime. We also picked a golden delicious apple from our apple tree, but it’s a little too early in the year for the apples to be ready to eat. It’s a good thing we took this photo before the kids at storytime ate everything up. It was delicious!
