The Chelmsford Friends of the Library Annual Meeting and Special Program Illuminating Chelmsford’s
Past Becky Warren will share some of Chelmsford’s “illuminating” history in a 45 minute presentation and discussion. Chelmsford’s rich history involves many people and their quest to make life a little brighter for everyone. Becky will discuss the connections to Chelmsford with such common household items of today such as the match and window glass, as well as some of the schools organized to educate the youth of this developing town. Chelmsford and its residents have made significant contributions to the development and success of the Merrimack Valley and its residents. Becky has been involved in the Chelmsford
Historical Society for 26 years, thanks to her Great Aunt Julia Fogg’s
urging and passion for the history of this town. She is honored to serve
as the President of the Society and is committed to preserving Chelmsford’s
heritage – whether by the sharing of stories, procuring artifacts,
or looking forward to the next generation of stewards. Becky has been
employed by the National Park Service in Lowell as a Park Ranger for 28
years. She currently manages the education programs at the Tsongas Industrial
History Center for 55,000 students per year. |
