"Root Cellar," a New England band specializing in bluegrass,
the music from Appalachia or District 12 in the “Hunger Games,”
Chelmsford’s One Book title for 2011.
We're bringing back our Friday Evening Coffee
House for one evening in March. Just what we all need to rid the cabin
fever and winter doldrums!
Root Cellar delights audiences with fine instrumentals
and 3-part harmony singing. The band members range in age from 14 to 54,
a true multi-generational music experience!
This coffee house is free and open to the public.
Root Cellar is made up of the following musicians:
George Chase- guitar and vocals
Elibet Chase- vocals
Marianne Jones- mandolin
Whit Symmes- guitar, mandolin, and vocals
Jane Symmes- guitar, fiddle, and vocals
Adelaide Symmes- fiddle, vocals
