The movie opened Friday, Feb 19th, and has been getting good reviews. If you haven't seen it yet, how about seeing it with the Library? Details are still being worked out, but we're hoping to have a "Chelmsford night" at a local cinema, so many of us who read the book can all watch the movie together.
More information about the movie:
In other movie news, the February and March Library Cinema Nights will be showing Dennis Lehane movies. February's showing was Mystic River, and the March 18th Cinema Night will be another of his books. Check the Cinema Night webpage or the Library's Calendar for more details.Posted in One Book | No Comments »

Be sure to catch a showing of this hour-long film. It will be shown continuously from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Chelmsford's cable channel 10 on Saturday, January 17, 2009. We'll play it on a television in the library that day, and the film will also be available on DVD in late January for you to check out.
The film was premiered on Friday, January 9th at the library, for the library staff, the staff of Chelmsford Telemedia, and anyone appearing in the film. It ended up being a standing room-only crowd, and everyone was delighted with the show.
Fred Barzyk, a long time producer/director for WGBH-TV in Boston, is a Chelmsford resident, and has recently been working with Chelmsford Telemedia to produce a series of archive films about our town of Chelmsford. The first installment in the film series explored the Chelmsford Senior Center.Posted in Current News, Events | No Comments »
