The flushing will cause discoloration in the water, but the Water District will attempt to use water hydrants to alleviate discolored water before morning.

The Water District asks that residents check their water each morning to make sure it is running clear before they use it. Also, check your backflow device to be sure it is not leaking after the flushing.

Flushing beyond the Center is scheduled for October 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th, and 27th, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Bags can be picked up from the Office of Recycling and Solid Waste Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 12 noon. The Town-wide Cleanup this year is sponsored by the Chelmsford Business Association, Christopher’s Towing, and The Green Lawn Company.

Residents age 65+ please bring ALL of your HEALTH INSURANCE CARDS with you. Donations are accepted from those under age 65 to cover the cost of the vaccine and supplies.

The clinic is administered by the Chelmsford Board of Health, and will be providing protection against three viruses:

• A/H1N1 (pandemic) influenza
• A/H3N2 influenza
• Influenza B
