Chelmsford FallFest is Coming in October!

fall_fest_logoMark your calendars for the first weekend in October - Chelmsford FallFest is a celebration of the arts, music, and food!

Events are being scheduled starting Thursday, October 1st, through Sunday, October 4th. Here are a few highlights so far, with lots more to come:

Book lists: A summer reads preview!

Your summer reading list is here! Our bimonthly presentation of new and recently released books highlighted many great titles for vacations, stay-cations, or just mini-escapes on your lunch break. Book Sale Drop-Off Dates Announced!

Chelmsford Friends of the LibraryThe Friends will hold book drop-offs on the following days and times, at the Town Offices gym (same location as the book sale):

Saturday, June 6th 9 a.m. - 12 noon
Saturday, June 27th 9 a.m. - 12 noon
Saturday, July 11th 9 a.m. - 12 noon
Wednesday, July 22nd 1 - 3 p.m.
Saturday, August 1st 9 a.m. - 12 noon
Wednesday, August 19th 1-3 p.m.
Saturday August 29th 9 a.m. - 12 noon

 

2015 Book Sale Dates

September 18, 19th and 20th

(Setup help needed on the 17th!)

 

The Friends of the Library Book Sale is a significant source of funding for library programming, museum passes and many extras for Chelmsford patrons. The community's support through donations and volunteer hours is greatly appreciated. The Friends fall book sale brought in $26,618.50. Thank you!

Chelmsford Town-Wide Cleanup Day: Sunday, April 26, 2015

EarthJoin in and help clean up our town!

The snow is melting to reveal the roadside waste that accumulated over the winter. Help to make Chelmsford a beautiful town. Please pick up trash from your street.

When: Sunday, April 26, 2015
      (but if you can't do it Sunday, do it anytime!)

Who: YOU, your family, friends, co-workers, church, school or scouting group, etc.

Where: Your neighborhood, schoolyard, playground, and other public spaces where there is litter

Bags & gloves are available from the recycling office at 9 Alpha Road, while supplies last - they can be picked up during regular office hours of 9am to Noon. Put yellow bags out with your trash and report large items to the DPW.

Special Spring Book Sale: April 11 and 12!

Book sale!Spring usually just brings rain and flowers - this year, Spring also brings a special Book Sale! The Friends of the Library will be holding a special Spring Book Sale:

2015 Spring Book Sale Dates and Times

Saturday, April 11th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, April 12th 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The sale will be in the usual place, the gym behind the Town Office building, 50 Billerica Road, Chelmsford [see a map].

Run by the Chelmsford Friends of the Library, the book sale is a significant source of funding for library programming, museum passes and many extras for Chelmsford patrons. We're holding a special Spring sale this year because of the construction work involving our book storage building, the Dutton House.
